ChatGPTの画像編集で顔が変わる？Codexで10回直して検証

Codexの組み込み画像編集で同じ写真を10回続けて直しても、今回は「顔はそのまま」の指定あり・なしの両方で、最後まで同じ人物に見えました。服や背景、髪型、表情まで変えた全20枚に、明確に別人と判断するほどの変化は見当たりません。ChatGPTの画面での3回の編集は、後半で別に載せています。

ただ、まったく同じ顔の画像が残ったわけではありませんでした。眉の濃さや頬の見え方は少し変わり、立ち姿に直した5回目では全身が入って、顔そのものが小さくなっています。僕は途中から顔が変わると思って始めたので、そこは予想と違いましたね。

最初と10回目の顔を並べる

顔を保つ指定を書いた方だけが勝つ、という結果にはなりませんでした。まずは、元の顔と、それぞれ10回直した顔を並べます。

顔の範囲だけを切り出し、200×200pxにそろえました。元の顔の350px角を縮め、最後の2枚は200px角のままで、描き直しや画質の補正はしていません。

指定なしの方は眉がやや濃く、頬も少し丸く見えます。指定ありの方は目元が柔らかめ。それでも目の離れ方、鼻先、唇とあごを見て、同じ人と言われれば納得できる顔でした。細かい描き替わりと、別人に見える変化は分けて数えています。

1人の写真で、それぞれ1回ずつ試した結果なので、指定を書いても意味がない、何回でも顔が変わらない、とまでは言えません。特に全身になった後半は、元画像より顔の画素数が少なく、細部の違いを見分けにくくなりました。

元の1枚と試し方

紺の長袖を着て、グレーの背景で座った、架空の20歳の女性を元にしました。実在の人の写真は使っていません。

この1枚から、変更だけを頼む場合と、目・鼻・唇・輪郭を保つ指定も毎回添える場合に分け、同じ順番で10回直しました。最初の写真を渡すのは1回目だけで、2回目からは直前に編集した画像だけを渡します。各変更につき1枚を使い、気に入った顔が出るまで選び直すことはしませんでした。

10回の連続編集には、2026年11月3日時点のCodexに組み込まれた画像生成・編集を使いました。ChatGPTの画面で10回操作した記録ではなく、モデル名をImages 2.5と確認できた試行でもありません。画像上の指定方法は、別にChatGPTの画面でも試しています。

写真はすべて1024×1536pxの縦長。笑顔で目が細くなったり、光で鼻の影が変わったりしただけでは別人に数えず、元の写真と目・鼻・口元・輪郭を見比べました。

服・髪・背景を1つずつ、10回続けて編集する

10回とも、頼んだ変更が次の画像に残っていました。途中の全身への引きや、小物の描き替わりも含め、左が顔を保つ指定なし、右が指定ありです。

指定ありでは、変更を頼む1文の後ろに、毎回この英文を足しました。

1回目：紺の服をアイボリーに変える

服の色が変わり、顔と髪は元の印象のまま残りました。裾の編み地は少し変わっていますが、どちらも同じ人が着替えたように見えます。

2回目：ボブを低いポニーテールに変える

耳と首の横が見えるようになって、顔まわりがすっきりしました。髪が頬にかからなくなった分だけ印象は変わるものの、目鼻立ちは本人のままです。

3回目：スタジオをカフェテラスに変える

植物やパラソル、テーブルが現れました。指定ありの方にはカフェの看板も付き、背景は両方で違う場所になっています。顔は同じでも、ほかの部分まで同じ出方になるわけではないんですね。

4回目：無表情から、口を閉じた微笑みに変える

口角が上がり、頬も目元も柔らかくなりました。ここは口や目の形が変わって当然の編集なので、笑った顔になったことを別人化には数えていません。

立ち姿はいい感じに出ましたが、両方とも足先まで入る全身像になりました。立ってほしいだけのつもりが、カメラまで後ろへ下がった感じです。目や口を細かく比べたかったので、顔はもうちょっと大きいままならよかったですね。

ポニーテールのまま、髪が明るい栗色になりました。全身の写真を引き継いでいるため、顔の細部は前半ほど大きく見えませんが、目鼻と口元は同じ人に見える範囲です。

体が少し斜めになり、顔はカメラを向きました。ただ、英文では本人の左へ向くように書いたのに、胸の正面は画面左へ向いて見えます。左右まで頼んだとおりとはせず、「体の角度が変わった」ところまでの結果にしました。

笑顔が消えて、唇を閉じた顔に戻りました。元の写真と同じ無表情で見ても、目や鼻、口元、あごは同じ人に見えます。服も髪も場所も変わったのに、思っていたほど顔が遠ざからなかったですね。

顔は10回目まで同じ人に見えましたが、残したい物がいつもそのまま残ったわけではありません。服の編み地や背景の小物は少しずつ描き替わっています。顔が残っていても、服や小物まで変わっていないかは、その都度見比べた方がよさそうです。

裏側：最初の写真をもう一度渡して、顔だけ近づける

最初の写真を顔の見本として追加すると、目元と輪郭が少し柔らかくなり、髪や服、カフェの背景は残りました。ただ、10回目の時点でも同じ人に見えていたので、「別人から戻せた」という結果ではありません。

僕は、顔がどこかで変わったら元の写真で戻せるかも試そうと思っていたんですが、今回はそこまで変わりませんでした。それなら最後の写真に元の顔をもう一度見せたら、ほかの編集まで元に戻るのか。そこも試してみることにしました。

渡したのは2枚。1枚目を編集対象の10回目、2枚目を顔だけの見本にした最初の写真として、役割を分けました。

目の開きが少し控えめで、頬からあごも少し丸く見えます。元の顔に近づいた感じはありますが、差は小さめ。栗色のポニーテールや緑の服、立った姿は残り、紺の服で座る最初の写真に丸ごと戻ることはありませんでした。

今の写真と元の写真を両方渡し、「編集する画像」と「顔だけの見本」を分けて頼む形は使えました。ただし、今回の1枚から、別人になった顔も確実に戻せるとは言えません。

ChatGPTの画面で、服を囲む方法と画像コメントも試した

服の場所を囲んでも、画像上の一点にコメントを付けても、服の色は変わり、顔は同じ人物に見えました。これは10回の連続編集とは別に、ChatGPTの画面で行った小さな試行です。

文章だけ：紺のトップスをアイボリーにする

最初の写真を添えて、服の色だけを文章で頼みました。ここで作ったアイボリーの服の写真を、次のマークアップの元に使っています。

アイボリーの長袖に変わり、座った姿勢とグレーの背景は残りました。顔を保つ指定を足さなくても、この1回では本人の顔に見えます。

マークアップ：服の場所を囲んで深緑にする

画像を開いて「マークアップ」から長方形を選び、服の胴体部分を赤く囲みました。その囲みを指して、服を深緑に変えるように頼んでいます。

赤い囲みは完成画像から消え、服は袖まで緑になりました。囲んだ長方形より外にある袖にも色が広がっているので、マークアップは、囲んだ内側だけを書き換える厳密な境界にはなっていません。服のどの部分を指すかは伝わり、顔や髪、座った姿勢も残っています。

公式の案内には、編集する範囲を選ぶ方法もあります。今回触った画面ではマークアップの長方形を使ったため、選択範囲を塗る方式と同じ操作を試した、という比較にはしていません。

画像コメント：服をクリックしてアイボリーに戻す

緑の服の画像で「コメント」を押し、胸元の一点に、服をアイボリーにする指示を付けて送信しました。囲みを描く代わりに、指した位置と文章で伝える形です。

服はアイボリーに戻り、顔や背景は同じままに見えました。これくらい対象がはっきりした写真なら、囲みを描かずに一点のコメントでも伝わるんですね。袖や胸の編み地は描き替わるので、服の写真そのものが色だけ置き換わった結果とは違います。

画面で試したのは、この3回だけ。連続編集の20枚とは分け、どの操作が顔を保ちやすいかの順位は付けませんでした。

顔を保つ頼み方：変える所と残す所を分ける

服の色だけを変えたいなら、色の指定に加えて、顔のどこを残したいかも伝えます。今回の指定ありの1回目は、そのままコピーして使える形だと次の英文です。

最初の1文が変えたい所、その後ろが残したい顔立ちと縦横比。髪型や背景を変えるなら、最初の1文だけを入れ替えます。立たせても顔を大きく残したい場合は、「腰から上の画角はそのまま」のように、画角も残す指定へ加えてください。今回の10回ではそこを書かなかったため、全身が入る画角に変わりました。

OpenAIの案内も、編集では変更点と維持点を明示し、1回に1要素ずつ直す方法を勧めています。ただし、維持条件を書いても、繰り返すうちに細部が変わる場合はあるため、元の写真と見比べてから次の編集へ進めてください。

写真の連続編集でよくある質問

「顔はそのまま」と書けば、別人になるのを防げる？

維持したい顔立ちを明示する頼み方として使えますが、完全に保てるという保証にはなりません。今回は指定あり・なしの両方が10回目まで同じ人に見えたため、指定の効果に差が付いたとは言えない結果でした。

何回までなら、同じ顔で編集できる？

写真や変更内容を問わず使える上限回数は、今回の比較だけでは決められません。回数だけで判断せず、編集した画像と元の写真を並べ、顔立ちや残したい服・背景まで変わっていないかを見てください。

同じ顔ばかり生成される悩みにも使える？

それは、元の顔を残したい今回の編集とは逆の話です。新しく作る人物の顔を変えたい場合は、一重や丸顔など、顔の特徴を書く指定を試してください。
